iVend™ Vend Sensing Technology

iVendTM is an infrared light sensing unit that consists of a light emitter and receiver installed on opposite sides of the delivery box. If a product is not sensed by an iVendTM system beam during the first vend cycle, the system waits one second before initiating a second vend cycle and rotating the helix until the product is recognized as dropped. If the iVendTM system still detects a product as dropped after a full rotation to the home position, the selection is declared empty or sold out. The customer’s credit will be recovered, allowing them to make another choice. After then, the selection is automatically reestablished for future vends.
